AboutUs

Our founder, Christina, started face painting and balloon art in the summer of 2007. She began gaining a following and reputation for her face paint, balloon art, and eventually opened her own company, called Faces & Spaces, in 2018.

 

The business grew quickly, and stopped offering face painting and balloon twisting; focusing more on luxe installations and decor. It began offering floral and prop rental in 2020. In 2021, the company was renamed to Happy Little Party to more closely represent the services provided.

​

Today, Happy Little Party can create custom event props to use as rentals; combining floral and balloons to decorate bridal & baby showers, weddings and various other celebrations. In addition to balloon, floral and rental services, we offer assistance designing your event to achieve a one of a kind experience for you and your guests. 

​

Happy Little Party is insured and can provide proof of insurance upon request, or list your company/organization as additional insured.

Dana Dekis

Sales & Marketing, Floral Design

​

Dana has been with us since 2021. Dana began her career as a Wedding Coordinator at Rats Restaurant. From there, she worked for Hilton Hotels as an Event Manager, Sales Manager and Marketing Coordinator. After her years with Hilton, Dana moved to the corporate meetings & events industry, where she flourished for almost 10 years. She also worked as an Account Executive for a small marketing company and continues to work on small marketing accounts and corporate meetings periodically. She also helps manage volunteers for the Vegan Local NJ Food Festival events.

​

Dana has always had an artistic side, and takes the lead on creating floral arrangements and designs for Happy Little Party. She loves coming up with unique ideas to help elevate your event design to the next level.

​

Dana enjoys weightlifting, running, hiking and yoga. She loves to travel and is currently planning a trip to Greece for 2023.

Christina Miller

Owner & Lead Artist

​

Christina was born in Virginia and raised north of Seattle, WA. She developed a love of traveling, meeting new people and trying new things. In 2005, she moved across the country to attend The College of New Jersey and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Art, and a minor in Deaf Studies.

​

Before starting Happy Little Party, Christina worked as a face painting and balloon twisting artist. She also worked for two large party rental companies in New Jersey, (giving her a combined 5.5 years experience in the event industry).

 

In addition to balloon, floral and event decor, Christina also has experience creating large scale craft/activity stations, providing rentals of tents and inflatables, catering, and many other event planning areas.

 

Christina married her amazing husband, Tim, in 2018. No children of their own yet while Christina continues to build the business. However, they do have two fur babies: a golden lab named "Dodger" and a black cat called "Kitty".

Donna Wiley

Accounting & Artist Assistant

​

Donna has been with Happy Little Party since 2020. She manages invoice reconciliation and all billing paperwork. Donna also works hard to provide prep and onsite assistance to Christina. If you have not already met her onsite at an event - you will!

 

She is a skilled gardener and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her two cats - "Russell" and "Daffy".
